How is it that another year is almost over and another birthday has come and gone? Sometimes I would really like time to slow down…even if it’s just a little bit. In September Lilly-bug turned 6, 6 people! that is just crazy. We have been blessed with 6 beautiful, wonderful, stressful and amazing years since Lilly’s birth. There have been hard days and good days, great days and days when locking myself in the bathroom seems like the only way I can save my sanity lol
With that in mind, I decided to throw Lilly an afternoon tea party for her 6th birthday. My husband was not impressed that we were having another party. Party planning is my love language I’m sure! I actually started planning the party in July, insane I know but to be prepared I wanted to start early and it was a good thing because I was able to buy stuff for the party each fortnight and not fork out a lot of money at once.
We invited a few of Lilly’s friends from kindergarten and a couple of family members, add a fairy and we had a wonderful afternoon.
We had the party at our house and set up a mini photo booth for the girls to take photos by. We had a long fold out table that we set the afternoon tea on. We had cupcakes, cookies, fairy bread (a must) finger sandwiches and red lemonade. We also had mini cupcakes for girls to decorate.
Each girl got to take home their own flower crown and a thank you bag. The cake was made by a friend of mine and she did an amazing job. Vanilla with purple butter cream. She also made the cookies which were tea bag shaped and dipped in chocolate. Very pinterest inspired lol.
Happy 6th birthday baby girl! We are so blessed to have you in our lives. Next up we have Loki’s 3rd birthday!
