Y’all, how is it the middle of October all ready? I’m losing my mind with how quick this year is going. However after my birthday it always seem to go quickly and then slows down after Christmas and New Year. So as it’s the middle of October I wanted to show you the Halloween “BOO” wreath I shared on Instagram
For this project you’ll need:
- Form wreath (from local craft store, mine is an old one from Spotlight)
- Black and purple paint (you can switch the purple for another Halloween color such as orange)
- Spider and web
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- BOO letters
Paint your wreath 2-3 coats each side. Put it aside while drying. Paint your letters while waiting for the wreath to dry. I got Lilly to help paint the wreath as I did it at the dinner table…in front of the kids….so naturally she wanted to help lol. I used standard craft paint, however you can buy some really nice satin finish paints that would look great as well.
Once the paint is dry (I left mine to dry over night to ensure it was dry) grab the spider web and pin some at the back using the pins. If you use the crystal head sewing pins they hold the web really well, as the thin pins go straight into the form. No sharp edges 🙂
Stretch the web so it covers the whole wreath. Pin as needed to the back side of the wreath. Once your happy with the web grab the glue gun and glue the letters on. I used another pin to secure the 2nd “O” while the glue was drying. Add spiders by hooking the legs into the web and your done! Easy as
Hang the wreath on your front door or anywhere in the house. It was super easy and fun to do. Thanks for stopping by to check out my Halloween wreath. Head to my Pinterest for some more Halloween door decoration ideas.
