I enjoy crafting. I really like crafting with the kids and I’ve been wanting to do some Halloween craft with them this year. We’re not really decorating like we did last year around the house, mainly because Halloween falls on a Monday and I’m not quite sure if we’ll get trick or treat-ers this year. I’m sure to do something Monday afternoon around the front door and we will of course have candy. Check out my Instagram for what we do.
So with crafting on the mind and see need for kids activities to be done (…so I didn’t lose my mind because they destroyed the house) we made some hand ghost prints and window decorations. Bats of course were included!
All you need for these crafts are paint, glue, paper plates, a hole punch and pipe cleaners. If hanging in a window you will also need something to have the craft with. I used twine and little pegs.
We painted paper plates and then once dried cut them in half. Then using a hole punch, punched holes and thread the pipe cleaners through to make spider legs. The other plates were painted like pumpkins with orange and black paint. Instead of making half plates you could staple them together and make treat bags. Also a nifty idea.
Some of my other favorite Halloween crafts for kids are:
- Paper Ghost Garland – Skip to my lou
- Spider hands – Yellow Mums
- Ghost Pops – The Chirping Moms (sending Lilly to school on Monday with these for her class mates)
- Hanging Ghosts – The Chirping Moms
What are some of your favorite crafts for Halloween? or are you more just about the candy?
Thanks for stopping by!
