Today I wanted to share with you my review of Building A Framework by Abby at Just A Girl and Her Blog. It’s time and something that I wanted to do earlier as I’ve been blogging for a couple of months now and I’ve never done a review on the book. It also fits as Natalie from At Home With Natalie has just released a blogging e-course that I’m really interested in.
I actually came across Abby’s blog from Natalie. Thank goodness for social media! I really like Abby’s style and blog. I followed along with the writing of her e-book and eventually took the plunge and purchased the book and got started. There are 3 packages available and I brought the middle one. It includes videos, the e-book, blog binder and more. I was really impressed with the value for money. I really liked the videos as I’m a visual learner and need to watch/participate in to really understand.
I really like how the guide comes with a blog binder and checklist. It was the blinder that tipped me over the edge lol. The binder is great for for setting goals, defining your blog and what you want your blog to achieve. One of my favourite parts is the link party section, as it’s somewhere to keep track of the link parties you can/do share your blog with. It’s also somewhere you can plan your ideas/posts.
It’s important to have an actual space to write stuff down on paper rather then all online. Up until January my day job was working online providing support and advice on products and when I actually write on paper I feel like I’m achieving stuff. You should see my printed copy of the e-book. Notes everywhere!
The e-book is wonderful. It’s easy to follow and broken down into sections. I do find that each time I go back and read sections again I find stuff I missed the first time. The e-book covers pretty much everything from getting started (website and hosting), making money from your blog, social media and content. The only thing I’m confused on is SEO. I don’t get it and I don’t feel the book covers it very well, however there is a lot of information on the web and there is a link in the guide as well. That’s my only negative to the guide.
All in all the guide is a good purchase and Abby has done a great job! She’s written an easy step by step guide that assists with editing photos, getting featured and more. I can’t recommend it enough. If you want a sneak peak check out some content on YouTube here.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the review. Have you purchases the guide? Let me know in the comments what you thought.
